What version of WSS/MOSS are you running?

I am preparing to install the new Infrastructure update that has been made available recently and wanted to find out what versions I am currently running. A post on the blog of Aaron Saikovski showed a nice table to determine the versions:

Remember that you can find these version numbers in Central Administration -> Operations -> Servers in Farm (/_admin/FarmServers.aspx)

Hi Valentin,

to my knowledge you will need to install kb941422 before applying the infrastructure update. The documentation for the infrastructure update specifies that this update does not replace any previously released hotfixes.

best regrads,

Dirk

Thanks Dirk,

But how can I know if the KB941422 is already installed over a server?

Thanks

Hi Dirk.

Do you know what version kb951297 expects? I installed the WSS update kb951695 without problems, but when I tried to install the MOSS one, I got an "The expected version of the product was not found on the system".

Right now the system has the "12.0.0.6318" version, but it was update by the WSS upgrade.

Thanks in advance, Eddie.

Hi Eddie,

kb951297 requires both the WSS 3.0 Infrastructure update kb951695 AND MOSS Service Pack 1. Did you install SP1 before applying the infrastructure update for both WSS and MOSS? Don't forget to run the SharePoint Configuration Wizard after applying SP1

best regards,

Dirk

I have the same issue as Eddie. updated my moss servers just as instructed but when I try to apply the infrastructure update for moss servers I get "The expected version of the product was not found on the system".

My servers also have the version number 12.0.0.6318 but I only applied the WSS infrastructure update.

My servers are x64 servers.

Anyone have an idea??

There have been a lot of problems with the servers I was hoping these updates would resolve most of them. Can you tell me how to get the MOSS infrastructure working??

thnx
